LG V30 Issues

LG V30 Issues

I'm having issues with the task bar shortcut where it won't update what is actually playing or respond at all to comands. The app itself seems to function fine but with this shortcut broken, it's quite annoying. My microphone/controller headphones won't register in the app either.

Hey @Psuedoredhead, welcome to the Community!

Does this happen while the app is in Offline Mode? If so, try enabling Online Mode to see if it helps.

You can also try seeing if the issue happens on different networks.

If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall

Hope that helps 🙂

I can confirm that this is also happening on my lg v30.

Other things happening include:

Swiping left to go to the next song, but doing it multiple times with cause it to be unable to skip further, even if there should be more songs on the playlist.

Music randomly playing from outside of the app

The current "now playing" some rarely it correct, and swiping to the next song doesn't always trigger a song change.

It seems like there's a lot wrong with the Android app on the lg v30

I can also confirm that I'm never in offline mode and these issues happen

I'm using LG V30+..

having exact same issue.. .no matter how many times i refresh the OS or uninstall spotify..  I guess this is LG OS problem instead of spotify.

additional issue i encounterd. after i bluetooth to my car and off from my car. the spotify will continue to play with my phone speaker.. this made me feel so stupid everytime have to unlock my phone and as you know.. short cut is not working i have to open the spotify app and pause the music every time i get down from my car. (never happen to my Nexus 6P before) it's so annoying and make me look stupid.

Also have this issue with my V30. 90% of the time the notification in the notification bar doesn't even show up, it continues to play if i go into a call even if I paused it before hand, it lag skips songs until i can't anymore, it won't connect to my Tic Watch and my bluetooth headphones like it used to with my old headphones so now I'm unable to skip songs on my watch. More specifically, when listening to any episode of Dax Shepard's podcast Armchair Expert, whenever I pause it it restarts the entire episode.

Not to mention that I have done countless reinstalls.

thanks for sharing.. i plan to get myself tic watch too... i used to owned LG and moto 360. that defeat the purpose of having smart watch if i'm not even able to control music.

will only get it (after p release) to see how it goes.. else.. gotta change the phone first. (that's sad).

it's a good phone tho.

The Ticwatch is great, and when i used my LG Tone Pros I was able to control music, but now that my Tone Pros died and I had to get some Skull Candy Ink'd Wireless (which are great, btw), I'm not able to anymore.

@Phelixster

I'm having similar issues with my LG V35 ThinQ. Will be starting a new thread for V35 specifically but most of my issues were described above

I factory reset my ticwatch, and the new Wear 2.0 has fixed all of my issues
