Hello - I am operating the mobile app on a Samsung S21 Ultra. I used to be able to get into my 'liked songs' folder and sort by genre by selecting from the list situated horizontally at the top. The list of genres originally were 'swipable' as in I could swipe to the left to see all of them and pick one. Now that menu/series of buttons is frozen and will not let me swipe to see any of the ones further to the right. [see screenshot below]. I know they are still there because I can view a tiny bit more when I change from portrait to horizontal. Is this a known issue, and is there a way to fix it? I have already cleared the cache and force stopped/restarted the app- would prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall (and reset all my preferences) if this is a known issue and there is a fix. Thanks.
Hi @abqhighsea,
the right team is aware of this issue and is working on it. We hope that there'll be a solution soon. Best to make sure you keep the app updated to get the latest fixes.
Let us know if we can help with anything else. Take care!
Was there ever a solution to this issue? I've been struggling with the same problem for months.
Can you provide an update on this? It's been three months and I'm still having the same issue.
Hey folks!
We're aware of a visual issue with this feature that can happen dependent on the amount of genres that are presented and the device type and its resolution.
At this point, we'd advise you to keep the app up to date and, in case you haven't tried that already - you could try doing a complete clean reinstall to see if that makes a difference.
We'd also like to know what your devices & their respective OS versions are, as well as your current Spotify version 🙂
Thanks!
I had the same issue a few weeks ago and then it got fixed but its back now and it's getting frustrating. I've tried the clean reinstall and all of that and nothing works. My app is up to date too.
Hey @MajentaP,
Thanks for your reply in this thread 🙂
Can you let us know the exact make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you use? You can check the version of the app you've installed following the steps of this link.
We'll make sure to pass this information to the right folks, who are aware of this inconvenience.
We'll keep an eye on your response!
I'm having this problem too. You'd think after all of these months there would have been a fix.
I have the same issue at the moment, it's really disappointing because 2 months ago it worked for a day and then it stopped working.
Any action on this? It's very frustrating paying a monthly subscription when a feature is perpetually not working and doesn't seem to be getting fixed.
This problem was fixed! Thank you, Spotify!
Still having this issue. Very frustrated. Worked for like one day last week?
On a Samsung S21+. Spotify version is 8.8.2.434
