My nexus 7 tablet wont sync the local files to it. The tablet doesnt show up under devices on my desktop. I honestly have this problem on my phone as well, but my phone will randomly sync stuff with out notice, so its less of a problem. But i can't the tablet to sync at all at the moment.
EDIT: I forgot to mention I've tried all listed suggestions. Firewall is off, reset router, reset the app, reset desktop client, reset tablet, turn online on/off on tablet. I've had zero luck.

If you're using seperate modem and router, your PC is connected to the router and not the modem?
Just to be sure (I know this is repeating, but 9/10 it is). Can you check that:
1. You have created an exception in the Windows Firewall
2. You have disabled the firewall or created an exception in any Antivirus/Internet Security product you have on your PC
3. You have disabled any firewall on your router and UPnP is enabled
I'm guessing you may have overlooked the windows firewall.... Speaking from experience 🙂
Hello!
Just to make sure, both devices are connected to the same wifi network and logged into the same Spotify account?
Hope this helped 🙂
Yep! The desktop client is wired to the router though, which I know isn't what its supposed to be, but it clearly will work on my phone (if only occasionally and seemingly at random)

Also make absolutely sure that there are no running antivirus, security or antianything programmes running on your PC. Something is blocking spotify from seeing your Nexus.
I can confirm that no firewalls are running, no antivirals and that UPnP is enabled on my router. Still no luck.

Connected to the router, yes.

actually very recently reformatted, and havent gotten around to getting any OTHER viral programs. SO windows firewall was the only thing i had running, and it is 100% turned off.
.....anndddd, much like my phone, at some point the two found each other and I've synced all my local files. So, thanks I guess? I didn't really change anything, I just looked over and everything had been downloaded.
