My Question or Issue

I have a problem of lyrics not showing when I'm connected to Spotify through the wifi but when I'm connected through mobile data all lyrics show. Also, when I try to login to Spotify when using wifi I'm not able to do so. When I use mobile data everything seems to happen correctly. What is the issue with wifi and Spotify I don't understand? Plus i had reset the modem and my phone's all connections... still no respite.

Someone help!

Hey there ,

So are you using any VPN or DNS services.

If yes , then try to turn off those and try once again.

Keep us posted about it 🙂

No, I'm not using any VPN or DNS services on my mobile phone. Infact, I have not tampered with any network settings since getting the phone in November last year. The problem just popped out of nowhere one day and I'm still having the same issue everyday. I don't know what's the issue. I have tried every solution provided on other community threads similar to mine but still no help. 😕

Hey @ManavBhardwaj,

Thanks for the reply.

As this issue is occurring only on WiFi, could you try connecting to a different WiFi network with your phone? We need to make sure, that your home network is ok.

Does the same happen on another mobile device connected to the same network?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

No, this thing has not happened on other devices connected to the same WiFi network.

Hey @ManavBhardwaj,

Thanks for the reply.

Have you tried connecting the affected device with a different Wi-Fi network? Did the lyrics show?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

Yes, I have tried it using a university network yesterday and it worked just fine.

Hey @ManavBhardwaj,

Thanks for the reply.

This means the issue is with your home Wi-Fi network. Could you restart the router or reset it to see if this changes things? If possible try a different router at home.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

Hi!

I restarted and reset my router but no help. Moreover, other devices on the network are not impacted but I'm no expert in these matters.

I'm starting to think that my device must be the problem. Can you suggest some things I should do to confirm that it's not my device.

Thanks.

Hey @ManavBhardwaj!

This might very well be a device issue as well.
To confirm this, in case you haven't already, we'd advise making one complete clean reinstall of the app to see if it would change anything.

Let us know how it goes 🙂
