[Mobile][Other] Include playlist/album title on song playback screen

[Mobile][Other] Include playlist/album title on song playback screen

This used to be a feature that Spotify had and I’m not sure why they got rid of it. You used to be able to play a song and at the top of the playback screen you could see the title of the playlist or album that it was playing from. You could click on that title and Spotify would direct you back to the playlist/album page where all of the other songs in that album were listed. It made it much easier to navigate back to the playlist/album you were listening to so you could view/choose another song. It was a convenient feature that I really wish Spotify would bring back.

Hey @1217493729,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We moved your post from Ideas to the help boards as its content fits better here.

This function you mentioned it's an active feature in the now-playing view on the mobile app. The name of the playlist/album is displayed on the top of the screen to easily check where the track is located. If you're not seeing it, it could be related to some damaged cache stores from previous updates.

We'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful in getting rid of any corrupted files that might be causing issues.

If the issue persists would you mind including in your next response the make, model and OS version of the device involved, along with the Spotify version you're currently running?

Lastly, it would be great if you could share a screenshot where we can take a better look to keep investigating this.

We'll be on the lookout.
