Multiple Glitches/Bug with Android Spotify Since Last Update

Multiple Glitches/Bug with Android Spotify Since Last Update

Since the latest update I have noticed a couple of issues with spotify.

First is that when I search music by an artist in my "Liked Songs" playlist, it not longer plays music only by that artist within the playlist. Usually if I searched, "juice wrld" for example, it would compile a list of songs by him and only play songs from that list if I switch to the next songs, for some reason that's no longer the case. Instead it plays songs in the original order of the playlist and any song by any artist.

Second issue is that I no longer can play some songs (talking about ones that are still available on spotify) by directly tapping on them in my "Liked Songs" playlist. Instead I have to pick a different song far away and start scrolling (scroll sideways) until I reach it. It seems like some songs are just grouped together and cannot be played by tapping them directly from the "Liked Songs" playlist, and this repeats at some increment (maybe ever 30-50 songs).

Other Information:

Plan: Premium

Device: Galaxy S24 Ultra

Country: U.S.

Operating System: Android (although don't remember the exact version)

Hey there @reamezra

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community.

It looks like we already have a thread about the first behavior you mentioned here. Make sure to post your info there (including the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version), so we can have all the reports in one place.

Regarding the second one, is this only happening on your phone or on other devices as well? We'd also like to know if this happens only on your Liked songs playlist or on your other playlists too.

On another note, we'd recommend giving a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens. If you've been using WiFi, you can try with mobile data to test this.

If the same happens, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of this behavior happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

We'll be waiting for your reply.
