Multiple lost features on spotify on Google TV since recent update

Hello,

I'm using Spotify (version 2023.06.19_6-e5400ce E release-v2.260-4g7aadfb2-mlvhz HEAD-v3.202.356-gb9be1e6c 1.76.1) on my Google Chromecast on Google TV (Android TV v12 - 4.9.269).


Since a few weeks (i guess since last spotify update), I've lost several features on the spotify application :

- I was able to switch between users before the update, now i can only use "forget me on this device".

- I was able to display the lyrics, now i can't.

- This is now impossible to select my user account on the icon at the top right of the screen.


This is very annoying ....

There is someone encountering the same issue ? Is this a bug or is this the "normal" behaviour of the application ?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sending us more info about the TV devices in which you noticed this behavior? It'll help us if you send us the make/model. It's worth checking if there are pending updates for both the app and the TV's firmware. 

On another note, would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you're running there? You can find it by going to settings> About. In most cases, you'll be able to see the version just under your profile picture. 

Lastly, it seems there were some recent changes, but the features mentioned are still there, but in a different location. To be able to add another account to a TV's app, go to your profile picture at the top right of the screen. There, locate the Add account button. Take into account that lyrics may not be available on all songs. New lyrics are added every day, so you may find it added in the future.

Please send us a video recording or screenshots about this behavior. You can attach the videos in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload them to YouTube or Google Drive and make them public, so we can visualize them.
