My Question or Issue

Since about July (1 month) i have an issue regarding spotify. I play a playlist of mine (sometimes downloaded sometimes not) and after some songs it stopps. Very often the song stops at 3/4 of length. I have to get to the phone, unlock it, press play again. Sometimes i have to press additionally the next song button because it wont start again.

It happened with bluetooth and plugged earphones.

It is very annoying when i am running and need the music to keep my pace. Then i have to take it outside of my running bag to fix the problem. In this case it is the downloaded playlist so nobody can say it could be a bad connection...

Hey @BoeseBiene 🙂

Sorry to hear your having issues playing music, but no worries - I’ll be happy to help.

This is a feature called Autoplay mode that may be turned off in settings. Could you follow these steps - and let me know how this goes 🙂

Well i did what you said but there is no change. Songs suddenly stop at 2/3
of or elsewhere. I have to press play and choose the next song in the
playlist with the next button in order to play any music again.
It simply freezes but i did not do anything to provoke that.
For example i sit in the train, play an playlist and look out of the
window...then it stops suddenly. Or i go for a run and somewhere while
running it stops. Or when i am in the kitchen cooking it just stops the
song...it does not have anything to do with the internet connection.

Thanks for the reply!

Sorry if that didn’t do the trick.

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next 😊
