I haven't seen anyone on the e/os forums with similar problems.

 

My Question or Issue

When I start the Spotify app. The first abnormal thing I notice is that the "now playing" picture in the drop down menu freezes on whatever I listen to first.

 

After a while the music pauses. I press play. Then after ten minutes the music pauses. I press play again. Then after ten minutes the music pauses. Ad infinitum.

 

Other media playing apps, such as podcast apps does not have these issues.

 

I've tried the usual steps such as restarting my phone and doing a clean uninstall of Spotify.

I have an Fairphone 4 and e/os system and the same problem with the freezing and stopping while using the app..

I redownloaded the app, emptied cache and downloads and nothing works/helps

To make sure the issue is not device-related, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out. 

 

If the issue persists on another device, could you have someone log in with their account on your device, to see if the issue persists?

Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

Hey!

 

My account works when I'm listening on my smart TV or my laptop. If you give me a couple of days I can try to get someone else to log into my phone's Spotify.

 

The version nr is: Version 8.8.88.397

It was downloaded from the app lounge.

 

Yamoona seems to be having the same problems, I'll try asking on the e forums.

I guess I'm not alone. I guess I should ask the e forums. I'll try to update you if I find an answer. 

BTW. If you try to log into your phone's Spotify with another account does your problem still persist?
