My Question or Issue

 When I'm listening to music it occasionally just stops, even though it says its still playing and i can still skip through playlists there is no music. This happens wether I am listening online or offline at random intervals and lasts for a few minutes. I have tried reinstalling but it doesn't make a difference, even when I close down the app and reopen it the problem persists.

Could you let us know what Spotify version you're using? Also, since when are you having this issue?

 

We'd recommend giving it a go from another device and let us know how it goes.

I’m having this exact same issue when I’m trying to play Spotify through my Chromecast. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app (last night so I have the latest version). I’ve done the same with my google home app. I’ve also rebooted my chromecast and still, it will play for about a minute and then stop playing on the chromecast while my device it’s playing from (either iphone6 or laptop) it says it’s still playing. Any help would be awesome as this is becoming very frustrating.

My Spotify version is 8.4.54.536 armV7. I have been having the problem for a couple month's now. There are times where it hardly ever happens and then others where it just happens constantly.

I have tried using the app from my laptop as well and ocasionally it happens still but very rarely.

 

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for letting us know. 

 

This could be caused by a slight hiccup with your registered offline devices. To solve this, could you log in at https://www.spotify.com/account/offline-devices/ and remove all registered devices with the Remove All Devices button? You'll have to resync all of your tracks for offline listening, but it could solve your issue.

 

If that doesn't help, we'd recommend a quick reinstall and restart of all devices and software. This should help you get up and running again.
