Music stops playing when phone locks

I have a ZTE Axon 7. This issue started today, maybe when the app updated itself. I tried tweeking with phone and app settings but nothing seems to work. Please help and be as detailed as possible. Thank you

Have you tried to see if in your phone settings "restrict background data" is on? This is activated if you put on power saving on.

Had same issue on Axon 7 phone, just started recently. Tried tweaking all sorts of settings both in phone and app. Eventually simply restarted the phone and all is well. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes simply restarting fixed the problem when i spent half an hour messing with phone and app settings

Happy to help. I also spent too much time trying to adjust settings etc. Wish I'd remembered to try the old power off/on trick before trying anything else first.
