Hey there @マイケル1094

Thanks for posting.

It's a good idea to begin with restarting your TV and checking if it has any software updates pending.

Are you able to play music on the TV using the Connect function from a phone for example or directly from the Spotify app on the device?

Keep us posted.

Well, I've restarted it many times and reset it, but it's still the same, I've also updated everything including the Spotify application in the Playstore

Thanks for getting back to me @マイケル1094,

Could also give us more info on the other question I've asked - about other ways for starting playback on the TV, is it just the voice commands that cause issues?

Also, do you get the same behavior if you ask the assistant to play a particular song or astrist, or just to play music on Spotify?

Thanks!

I have a google TV, and I am having the same issues. I can play music on the TV using my phone, but the voice command does not work. I have tried updating the tv, signing out and back in, clearing the app data, and nothing seems to work. The voice commands used to work, but stopped about a month ago and haven’t worked since. Voice commands work just fine for other apps, so I don’t think it’s an issue with the tv.

I have do all in that article, i have reset my chromecast just like 10 times

My thoughts it could be bug from the Chromecast built-in app, that they just remove spotify cast from it

I’m seeing the exact same issue.  Spotify is linked, and everything works manually from the app on my phone.  Voice commands on chromecast will launch Spotify, but nothing else.

I have a Hisense Google TV. Spotify app works fine manually using the remote control. Spotify won't do anything when using voice commands. The app opens but nothing else, no music is played. One can hear Goggle assistant asking Spotify to play music but no reproduction is performed.

I have the same problem with Google assistant as well with my Sony TV. It says the action but only opens the app - doesn't actually play the song.

Also, it used to work just fine months ago, but now it's not.

Why would you think the firmware on the TV has anything to do with problems with Spotify on a Google Chromecast with Google TV?  In such a set up, the TV could very well be a dumb TV with NO firmware.

This kind of "update TV firmware" answer is a cop-out for actually trying to resolve real problems particularly in a case where the TV firmware has nothing to do with the problem or might not even exist!
