My spotify will not download playlists although I'm a premium subscriber

I have Spotify Premium and I'm using it on my Samsung S7 Edge. Up to recently I've had no problems with it, but on installing and formatting a 128gb SD card I've had nothing but problems.

The card is 'seen' by Spotify (after uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times) but when I start to download my playlists it tells me 'you've discovered a premium feature' and stops downloading ... I've got Premium!!

Any help with this would be gratefully accepted before I lose my mind completely!
