Hey there @trumpetare,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

We suggest that you have a look here at page 27 for more information about how to resize a widget.

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

Hey Jeremy

I have the same problem. This "Solution" doesn't work. By longpressing the Spotify-Widget, I can only adjust the size in width not in hight. I think this is a problem from Spotify, because Tidal, TuneIn and all the other Music Apps are normal sized.

My Phone: Sony Xperia 5 II (XQ-AS52)

Android Version: 11 (58.1A.5.159)

Hey @mrcvlsngcm,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Can you try running a clean reinstall of the app, following the steps in this Guide?

Let us know if things change afterwards.

Hey Alex

Thanks for the fast response. Unfortunately this did not help either.

I could imagine that it has to do with the somewhat special image format of the Xperia devices. But as mentioned, the widgets on other apps are normal size.

Hey @mrcvlsngcm,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you let us know if this started happening after the recent update and the exact Spotify version you're running now?

After this we'll report it to the right team at Spotify for you 🙂

My Version is 8.6.26.897
This phone is quite new in use (3 weeks) and I have this problem from the beginning using it. There was surely one earlyer version of Spotify on it.

Hi @mrcvlsngcm,

Thanks for the reply.

We've passed this info on. As the issue is closely related to the phone and it doesn't affect all android devices, we can't say with certainty when or if  it will be fixed.

You can head over to this Idea thread and add your +Vote to it. In general, the more votes an idea gets the more likely it is to get implemented as an app feature.

Hope this helps.
