New TV isn't showing up as a device on my phone?

I bought a brand new Vizio smart TV today and connected my Spotify account to it. I can browse through my music on the Tv and everything plays fine but I'm wondering why it doesn't show up as an available device on my phone? I like being able to que songs and skip songs from my phone to my TV and I've done that successfully on our old TV so I'm wondering why it's not showing up on this one? Thanks!

Your TV most probably is not connect compatiblewhich is why you cannot control it from your phone.

I am having this same issue and my tv is on the compatible list, it's a Samsung and I am following the instructions and it is not working. InstructionsIseem pretty straight forward. Just need to play a song and click on connect a device and then select your TV but my TV is not showing up. Please help, I have done all the preliminary troubleshooting but it's not working, I have even tried to log into Spotify manually on the TV but still doesn't connect. Please help.
