My Question or Issue

The app will randomly not play the next song unless i hit the next song button. always happens when connected to a bluetooth device. Im using a downloaded playlist, not streaming. there has been a few times where i would hit play it would pause immediately and i try and hit next and it would pause again.

Hey @megajeff11,

Does this only happen while you're on Offline Mode? And Only when connecting via bluetooth?

We suggest a quick reinstall to see if the issue persists? Note: Any offline playlists will need to be redownloaded after reinstalling.

Also, try re-pairing the devices with bluetooth. Let us know how that goes 🙂

I'm connected, i dont use offline mode. It happens to both my bluetooth devices. My car stereo and my bose qc 35 headphones. I havent reinstalled the app yet.

I will try the pair them again.

Hey there @megajeff11,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop 🙂

Let us know how it goes once you pair them again and if the issue persists. We'll be here to help further.

/K

Yea issue is still present.

Hey again @megajeff11,

In this case, could you let us know if you also tried reinstalling the app?

We'd suggest to follow the steps below instead for a clean reinstall:

  • Head here and click Remove all devices
  • Go to your Spotify settings, scroll down to Storage and then clear the cache
  • From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps
  • Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and clear the cache and data. Then select Uninstall.
  • Switch your device off and wait a couple minutes
  • Switch your device back on
  • Open the Google Play Store then search for and install the Spotify Music app

Let us know how it goes 🙂
