No data = no UI

Galaxy s9, Spotify premium, android auto

I drive through some dead spots pretty regularly. Was never an issue until one of the latest Spotify updates, where if I don't have data, Spotify displays no connection and removes all other UI elements. I'm unable to play songs I have downloaded for offline use as I can't get to the Playlist. 

P. S. Spotify, can we stop with the crownsourced help? I'm paying you, not the community. I expect support from you. Not the community
