No internet connection yet my songs download just fine

Spotify will show a no internet connection message while I'm connected to my working wifi. I can't find new playlists or search for new songs. When I re downloaded the app, I could only sign in using data, or else I'd be stuck on the logo screen. Once in, I switched to wifi again to see if it could work. It didn't, but my songs started downloading on my phone again. I don't have this issue when using the desktop app on my PC.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.
