No sound from speakers when playing on Kindle Fire

I just went through hell exchanging my Kindle twice thinking that the speaker jack didn't work--only to find out it's a problem on with Spotify. It plays Spotify just fine until I plus speakers or headphones in, and then silence. Other audio files play on the speakers, so what is going on???

Hi. Can you try a clean reinstall to see if it fixes this issue.
