Nothing loads and the app crashes everytime I try and use it

Have a premium Spotify account on an Honor 10 Lite. Most times I open the app its just a black screen that eventually freezes my phone. If the homepage loads and I try to navigate to anything it's just the green loading circle until again my phone freezes and the app crashes. At this point the app is completely unusable and all I can do is use the web player. Have tried clean reinstall a number of times, clearing cache and restarting phone.
