My Question or Issue

OK new to spotify and I purchased the premium plan but Spotify is not an option in Android Auto.  It is just not there.  When I say "Hey Google play Spotify" while in my car with Android Auto on Google tells me that it is playing Spotify but nothing plays.  I have tried uninstalling both apps, force stopping and restarting the phone to no avail.  The car I am using is a Genesis G80 2018.  Any help would be appreciated.

This worked for me:

  1. In the Android Auto app open the Hamburger menu.

  2. Open About.

  3. Tap "About Android Auto" header 10 times, until "Developer mode enabled" toast appears.

  4. Tap dots on the top right of the screen.

  5. Select "Developer settings" from the menu and enable "Unknown sources".

Should not be necessary but that solved my issue.
