Notification Panel Controls Not Working With Chromecast Audio

I recently purchased  two Chromecast Audios because I wanted to stream Spotify over WiFi instead of Blutooth. However, when playing through the Chromecast Audio(s) through my phone, pressing the "Next" button on either the lock screen widget or the Notification panel widget, the Chromecast stops responding and locks up. Only pressing "Next" from within the app allows me to skip a song.

Additionally, skipping songs too rapidly causes the Chromecast to freeze up as well. 

Anyone else having these problems?
