Notifications mute my podcast

My Question or Issue

I was on IOS before and none of that were happening i'm seeing alot of these post and nothing being fix for Android, so basicly while i'm listening to a podcast when I receive a notification it stop the podcast for 2-3 seconds then restart... it only does that with podcast but when i'm listening to music it just lower the music a tiny bit and thats the effect I want it to do!  like on iphone every notification just lower the sound a little bit! Yeah I know i could put my phone on silent but I need to hear the nofitications in case there is an emergency I dont know how on iPhone I never had that issue, I dont know if there is an option somewhere to threat everything has music or what ever but i've been looking on reddit,google and even these forums and nothing seems to fix the issue

Thanks for the post.

You'd have to go into the messaging app's notification settings and tweak those so they don't have sound or don't interrupt other apps if possible.

Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be altered manually from the Spotify app, so it's best to check for a possible solution on the website/ forum of the app that's sending you notifications.

Most likely, the notification is taking control over the voice output of your device. You can look into that.

Alex, it may be true that other apps are causing the interruption but does Spotify have to restart a podcast back a few seconds? Would rather have the option to lower volume and keep listening and not also rewinding 2-3 seconds.
