Offline Songs Skipping/Jumping After Around 10 Seconds

Offline Songs Skipping/Jumping After Around 10 Seconds

So I'm habing a proplem where some albums that I download do not work properly. I try play songs and after about 10 seconds it will automatically go to the next song and this sometimes happens with multiple songs in a row. It only happens on some of my albums though. Even after i reboot my phone it continues to happen. The only way I can figure out how to fix it is if I undownload the album and then remove it from my library. Then I add to my library again and redownload it. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

Hello there!

Have you tried a clean reinstallation?

This helps to fix almost all issues found on the Android client.

Just follow these steps to clean reinstall Spotify:

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings > Apps.
  2. Find Spotify in your list of apps.
  3. If you're able to, tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.
  4. Tap Uninstall to remove the app.
  5. Turn your device off and then back on.
  6. Open Google Play then search for and install the Spotify Music app.

Keep in mind that a clean reinstall will delete all data stored by Spotify, so you will need to sync your offline tracks again.

Hope this helps! ♫

I reinstalled it and it's still happening. When you are downloading to you
need to be in the app the entire time or will it continue to download in
the background when you are doing other things? It seems like the albums
ate not downloading fully or getting corrupted or something.

When you are downloading do you need to be in the app the entire time or will it continue to download in
the background when you are doing other things?

Hello again & sorry for the late reply.

You don't need to have the Spotify app open in order for playlists to download.

They can be downloaded on the background.

have you found a solid solution for this problem?

Actually I haven't. A while back I began streaming music rather than downloading it. However, I remember that before I began doing so the problem stopped on its own.
