Offline downloads partially deleted, and now their status is "waiting to download"

Random songs from my downloads were no longer saved, and their status is "waiting to download". I removed them and went to re-download the albums but they will all still say waiting, even if only one album has been added to the dl queue. Android OS, most recent version, as well as most recent Spotify version.

Are you trying to download local files or spotify content?

I've also been having this problem with local files - it's only started happening in the past few days. I've tried adding a number of different local files to downloaded playlists and none of them are syncing, they just stay stuck at 'waiting to download'.

Spotify content. I don't keep local music files and just use Spotify as my main player.
