Offline music wont save to sd card

I have had spotify premium for a few years now. I recently bought a 16g sd card to save all my offline music to as my spotify data has taken up almost all my phones memory space. However on saving to sd card in my spotify settings which took a few hours, the music displayed on my sd card as file1, file 2 etc for over 1000 songa and on selecting them it displayed file cannot be opened. When i went back to my spotify it had made all of that music online only and cost me over $140 in data to redownload it all. How can i save music to sd card and actually play the files? My phone is a huawei p8 liteon android network

If your offline music is disappearing constantly, maybe there's duplicate cache with your downloaded songs. To fix this, you can try removing all of your offline devices here. Then, you'll need to reinstall Spotify by following these steps.

Once you've done that, you'll be able to download your music again. We suggest that you do it with a strong WiFi connection. This should help.
