Opening app keeps launching Chrome.

My Question or Issue

So I had to uninstall Spotify as several songs just kept freezing that were donwloaded. I reinstalled and now everytime I open Spotify it launches Chrome on my phone so I can't even get into the app to see what may be causing this, but the re-direct takes me to privacy page asking me to change my privacy settings.

How can I get around this?

That's weird! When launching Spotify it should launch Spotify, not a different app. Could you please try the following steps for a more thorough reinstallation:

1. From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps
2. Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and clear the cache and data. Then select Uninstall.
3. Switch the device off, and remove the battery (if possible)
4. Wait 2 minutes, and put the battery back in. Switch the phone back on
5. Open the Google Play Store then search for and install the Spotify Music app
