Other people's playlists playing on my phone

Other people's playlists playing on my phone

Within the past couple weeks, i've had a bunch of other people's playlists and songs playing on my device. Spotify seems to think my phone is an 'available device' because when I open the app it gives me the option to stop and 'Listen on this phone'. It's really annoying, especially when I'm on the subway and there are a bunch of people using Spotify. My recently played has become cluttered with other people's playlists. I've scoured the settings trying to find a way to stop this. Is it because I have bluetooth on? Is there a way to turn this 'visible to other Spotify users' setting off?

For reference, I'm using a Pixel XL running Android 8.0.0, Spotify version 8.4.24.871.

Thanks.

Just tried turning off Bluetooth to see if that stopped this from happening, and it didn't help. Why can other people connect to my phone as an available device?

It sounds like your account is compromised. Follow these instructions to get it fixed.
