Pandora Premium better?

Pandora Premium better?

I think Pandora Premium might be better than Spotify on Android right now. On iOS? No.

Follow with me here:

Negatives to Pandora Premium currently:

-No local files (coming?)

-No desktop/web (coming soon)

-no queue (coming)

-don't have ALL the music Spotify does (will get better)

-no AutoPlay (coming soon)

Positives:

-more intuitive, easier to use

-design far better

-swipe up the now playing bar

-way better and more useful now playing screen

-app opens to your music

-seemingly no limit to amount you can save (assuming it's more than Spotify's joke 10,000 song limit)

-ability to edit playlists

If you can live with the negatives for now or pick it up when they get fixed I really think Pandora is better or will be soon. I think it might depend on the person for now. But if Spotify doesn't start listening to their customers, they're going to continue to lose customers to other services not just Pandora. I've been a faithful Spotifyer even thru my frustration at times. I'm actually considering switching seriously for the first time ever.

Spotify is a music app that is created for people who actually enjoy music culture and know a lot about music, it is an app that requires knowledge of artists and music in order to be able to use the app successfully. Pandora on the otherhand, is a music app that is pure radio, which means that the person has no control over what or who they are listening to.  Pandora is a great music explorer, but Spotify has control and ability to tend to customers interests and lifestyle.

With the new premium service, you can create playlists and search for individual songs/albums and add them to your music library much like Spotify. I think it's a really solid competitor and once they fix the cons OP mentioned it will be superior to Spotify. And also, wouldn't one have to explore music in order to find artists/songs that they like?

I find spotify blows for numerous reasons. It has a wider selection of music but its a dumb music play engine. It has no intellignece to what I listen to or want to listen to (or terribly limited). People keep trying to say its better, lets be honest if I want to listen to things I already know or like, I will just buy it outright for less... at 10$ its overpriced. Ads everywhere and its a buggy application (those ads dont apply to me AT ALL, I'm A GUY I CANT GET PREGNANT AND IM SINGLE YOU **bleep**). It forces these stupid tracks onto songs like "hey this is (Idontcarewho) listen to my new album that you probably dont care about" or watch this advertisement for 30 free ad free minutes then it plays it again a few minutes later... it also has stupid tack ons to playlists like "loving life" or Tracne radio" etc...

why in the right mind would I pay 10$ a month to listen to things I already know about. albums and songs are cheap! for 10$. amazon is way cheaper for something like that. You can also get better playlists... Please stop trying to POP sell this, buzz words dont sell products anymore.
