Playback Stops Between Songs Randomly

Oftentimes when my screen is off on my android and I'm listening to music on Spotify (not currently a subscriber but I was considering renewing until this bug showed up) the playback stops and I have to manually open the app, press pause and then press play. It usually then plays an ad then returns to music for a song or two and the whole process happens again. Help?! Thanks!

What phone and android version are you using? Do you have any type of power saving enabled?

GS6, Android 6.0.1, and yes I do but the problem persists even when turned off

What you're seeing is usually down to power saving. Take a look at the first couple of posts here. Third party battery savers and memory managers can also affect things.

Unfortunately that didn't solve it... Thanks for the suggestion though
