I've seen various posts claiming that you can change the cover image of a playlist and talking about the Spotify Rock Star program, but none specify how to do it. My question is: Can you change the cover image of a playlist, either through the Chrome Web Player or through the Spotify Android app, and if so, how do you do it? Thanks for the help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can only do this using the desktop client as far as I know. Select the playlist then bring up the context menu by right clicking the playlist name or bby clicking the three dots in the right hand pane and select "edit". You can then change the playlist cover and add a description.

This function is still not available in the mobile application? Seems like an oversight and a super inconvenience to customize playlists on the go.
unfortunently, this feature is only on desktop currently.
Hey there folks,
Just jumping in here to confirm that for now you can only edit your playlist covers on the desktop app. For full info, we'd recommend checking out this support article.
