Playlist folders all mixed up on Android

Playlist folders all mixed up on Android

Dear Spotify,

Our family uses Spottily with grate pleasure, and when the function arose to sort the playlists in folders we did thought to give it a shot. Each family member has a folder of his or her own, which works perfectly fine on the windows application.

The problem is it doesn't work on the Android application. All the folders are mixed up in a strange and totally random way. The playlist are sorted on windows as follows:

- Folder 'Anna'

    - Anna's playlists

- Folder ' Bob'

    - Bobs playlists

- Folder 'Chris'

    - Chriss's playlists

- Folder 'Daniel'

    - Daniel's playlists

This is how they are sorted on our three android devices (two Samsung Galaxy S II and an HTC Desire):

- Folder 'Anna'

    - some of Anna's playlists

    - Folder 'Bob'

        - some more of Anna's playlists

        - Folder 'Anna'

            - no playlists or folders

- Folder 'Bob'

    - (all of) Bob's playlists

- Folder 'Daniel'

    - Folder 'Daniel'

        - (all of) Daniel's playlists

    - Folder 'Chris'

        - (all of) Chriss's playlists

We reinstalled the Spotify app twice, with no success. What can we do to fix this, and otherwise please fix this.

Yours faithfully,

The Flamily

Hi there

Your Spotify subscription is a personal license and as such not meant to be shared between people. Spotify have mentioned they might be introducing family plans soon.

However, to your problem ... it's odd that you get the same mixed up structure on all three phones. A mod yesterday did mention that users are currently being migrated to new playlist servers so this might resolve your problem by itself in the next few days.

Otherwise you could try clearing Spotify's data/cache through Android system settings > manage Alps. This will wipe all sync'd data so only do it when you have wifi, but will force it to re-reaad the structure
