Plays automatically on opening but I can't turn off or pause,play sign stuc

I open the app and it goes to what I was playing previously, it starts automatically but it does not register in the play button. It still says play but it should be a Pause logo.
I can hit it and the app just pauses for a moment. I can't turn off the song, or pause it. Stuck on the play symbol.
Restarting my device always works. 😕

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We'd need some more device related information like brand/model and operating system. Does the same occur with a different account on the same device?

In the meantime you can perform a clean reinstall of the app with the steps described on this page.

To me it sounds related to the permissions of apps running in the background, but this is just a guess. Make sure to check them though.
