My Question or Issue

For the past month or so the podcast queue has been broken. I always play my podcasts from the "your episodes" playlist and the queue updates with however I've sorted that playlist, but that stopped working about a month ago. It also won't let me rearrange the podcasts in the queue and sometimes doesn't even play the episodes in the order of the queue. Clearing cache did not work.

I also had my phone on airplane mode recently and it played an episode of a podcast that I didn't have downloaded. Not sure if that's a related issue or not.

I haven't ever had to manually clear the queue between listening sessions and it didn't work anyway. 

 

The clean uninstall and reinstall of the app did work

Interesting. Your Episodes still functions properly on my end. Is it possible that you had leftover episodes in the queue from a previous listening session? You'll find more info on how to remove them in this article. If you haven't already, try performing a clean reinstall of the app: this will rule out any potential issues with corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

 

Something else that's worth checking is if the behavior persists on another device (a friend's or a relative's would also do). If it does, please share a short screen recording which captures it in action so we can take a closer look.
