My Question or Issue

Hi all,

I've decided to try and switch to spotify for podcasts as it saves having a seperate app. I have a couple of questions/suggestions.

1. If I download podcasts and switch to offline mode, will they play in order automatically or do I have to queue them? I listen to these whilst driving for 4 hours a day so fairly important.

2. Can podcasts be marked as listened to once done? For smaller podcasts it doesn't matter. but there are some I've listened to with 1000 episodes. Nice to be able to tell what I've already heard. If not then this is much needed.

3. Can spotify automatically download new episodes? If not then also much needed.

4. The ability to see/leave reviews is a must. Currently I can't see that this exists.

Thanks

Hey @Overdriven1.

Thanks for posting these questions on the Community. To answer them in order:

1. You do indeed have to queue them

2. Podcasts are marked as listened to once done, but you can't do that manually - you have to have listened to the podcast to the end.

3. You cannot currently automatically download new episodes, however this idea has been suggested here. Although it will not be implemented anytime soon, feel free to leave your vote there.

4. It is not possible to leave reviews for podcasts. You can do that on iTunes or on any other website/RSS where the podcasts are available.

If there are ideas which you would like to be implemented (and some of these are indeed very good idea), we recommend that you create a new Idea here. That way other people can vote for it and Spotify might consider implementing it sooner.

Hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to hit us up 🙂
