Problem with external SD card

Problem with external SD card

I think this issue is taking too much time to get addressed. I have:

- Removed the cache

- Removed the application

- Removed the battery

- Format the SD card

- Re-install Spotify

But the latest version does not want to detect my external 32gb SD card and save the offline files in there. I have read every single thread in this forums and on the internet and none of them work with the latest version.

Why the Android Product Owner is not available to talk through this forum and give him a more direct feedback?

Why the path option was removed from the newer versions if it gives value to their clients?

I truly believe Spotify has to be more transparent with their customers.

After removing cake can you then re login and select 'Extreme" as the download quality and try again?

If that doesn't work, could you post a bit more information:

  • Device
  • Android version
  • Spotify version
  • Free space in internal storage
  • Free space on external SD card
  • Do you get any error messages?

bird v12
latest spotify version
2gb internal memory . 250mb free
2gb sd card. 1.3gb free
32gb external sd card. 29gb free
android version 4.03
kernel 3.0.13

removed and cleared data, removed and reinstall the battery several times. Manually removed all the Spotify left folders.

I have premium.

As I have not received any proper answer so far, I am thinking of:

1. Reverse engineering the software with non-commercial intentions

2. Trace the code line by line

3. Find the bug and send the correction to the customer service.

I am now trying to see where the information about the database is stored so I can change it to a new folder/sd card.

Is there any open-source which works with Spotify?

Did you try as I suggested? Clear cache, login, select extreme quality, then make playlists offline?

I agree it is an issue, but this seems to work for some people.
