Problem with storing data to SD card

Problem with storing data to SD card

I have a brand new, working Samsung evo 32gb SD card. It's got over 29gb of free storage. I have tried the deleting cache option so it saves my downloads to the SD and didn't work. I allowed storage use in the app permissions category. I can't find the STORAGE in-app option nor save songs to SD card... What is wrong?

Hi.

  1. What device make/model are you using?
  2. Android version?
  3. Spotify version?

Huawei p9 lite 2017

Latest Spotify

Newest possible update to my phone

You can find the spotify version in spotify's settings. Select the library tab at the bottom then tap the gear icon in the top right. Swipe to near the bottom of the settings to find the spotify version.

Your android version is shown in android settings>about phone> software information.

Android is 7.0 and Spotify 8.4.26.770 armV7

Thank you. If other apps can see the SD card, try the following steps.

  • Format the SD card in the phone after backing up any data you want to keep.
  • Eject the SD card
  • Reinstall spotify following the steps here but don't run the app yet.
  • Reinsert the SD card.
  • Launch spotify and see if the option to save to SD now appears in spotify's settings.
