Recovering musing from the SD in a new phone

Solved!

Recovering musing from the SD in a new phone

Hi,

As I move my SD, with the songs downloaded in my previous phone, I can not get the musinc to be play in the new one.

both are Android, the old one an S4 and the new one an S7

Spotify thinks the songs are already downloaded so I can not just download it again, and it would take a lot of time and network traffic.

Is there a way to solve this case?

Thanks in advance to all that could help.

Hey @rafaelg53 I'm afraid you can't move spotify content between devices by swapping the SD card so you will need to redownload your offline music again. I suggest that you follow the instructions here to reinstall spotify before you do anything else.

Hi there!

Have you tried restarting your device with the SD card in, with a soft reset (usually holding the home and power button until the phone turns back on) or perhaps reinstalling the application/logging out of the app and back in!

Hope this helps! 🙂

Joe and all that care, thanks.

I was thinking your answer could be "the answer" but I could not believe such a good application would have such a limitation.

This happens with software.

Again thanks for taking care to answer
