Remove duplicate songs from Playlist feature

Remove duplicate songs from Playlist feature

When you make a Playlist, press "add songs", swipe over to liked songs, and begin adding songs, the songs you added will disappear, then reappear with a + beside the song as if it was never added to the Playlist when you're scrolling through you're liked songs.

In the past, there was a notification that told you if you were adding a duplicate song to a Playlist. This feature doesn't seem to apply when you're doing what I mentioned above.

Please fix. I pay for premium, and this doesn't feel very premium to me.

Hey there, @Spiderboom,

Thanks for reaching out!

Note that when adding songs via the Add to this playlist button, tapping the (+) button on one of the tracks under Songs you liked adds it to the current playlist, not in your Liked Songs. In general, that section should only show songs that haven't been added yet. If I use the search bar instead, I still get a duplicate warning when I try to add a song that's already in the playlist (screenshot below):

If that's not what you meant, is it that the tracks under Songs you liked keep reappearing as if you've never added them to the current playlist? If so, try logging out and signing back in twice in a row - this will trigger an internal refresh of the app which may help here. I'd also recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to take care of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

If the issue persists, please share a short screen recording which captures the described behavior in action so we can investigate further.

Cheers 🤘
