My Question or Issue

 Hi. My Spotify app crashed the other day, and then started to download all of the music I had downloaded onto my internal storage. Before it was all stored on my SD card, but the app doesn't give me the option to choose where to store my music anymore. I have other music, photo's and videos on the SD card I can still acces, so it definitely isn't broken and I still have about 30GB available. I've tried everything this guy tried (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/missing-storage-options/td-p/4569705), but none of those things worked. Under 'other', the only option is 'Log out', and under 'Storage' I only have the bar displaying available storage room and 'delete cache'. The SD card is a Sandisk Ultra 64GB card.

Hallo Oscar,

Zelf heb ik Spotify helpdesk gemaild kreeg snel en goed advies, zie hieronder;

Hallo Rob,

Hi Oscar,

Also had the problem that s. apparently the SD card app no longer saw (no option at settings/storage), I then using community eea done what solution offered.
After S. cache on SD card removal, to my surprise made S. or a new folder on SD card after reinstallation, but my playlists couldn’t be written there!?

Did You have the same as I, namely that your Spotify used on multiple devices, something could have gone wrong with my cache and offline devices connected to S.
Disconnecting offline devices and then doing a clean reinstallation of Spotify did help.

I mailed Spotify helpdesk and got fast and good advice, see below;

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your feedback.

We have reviewed your account and we see that something has gone wrong with the offline files on your devices. It seems that the cache is corrupted and that this has been unmapped from the app.

No worries, if You follow this link https://www.spotify.com/is/account/offline-devices/ You can reset your offline devices. After that, you need reinstallation. To do this follow these steps https://support.spotify.com/is/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/ Removes unnecessary connections between your phone and your Spotify account deleted. Please note that you need to synchronize again after you offline playlists.

After done this it worked again.
Note: You can also try this link for other solutions;

Hi!

First of all, thanks for replying. I tried all the steps you linked, but unfortunately it didn't work. I then tried following the other link you sent, but when I went to Internal storage > Android > Data, com.spotify.mobile.android.ui wasn't there. However, there is a folder on my SD card called com.spotify.music that I can't delete and doesn't get removed when I uninstall the app.

Any ideas?

Can you check in android settings>apps >spotify>permissions that spotify is still allowed to access the SD card.

Oscar,

I stopped trying to answer You, which I did directly after this Q. One way or another I wasn't able to let Spotify keep my replies.

I contact helpdesk and they asked me to try to reply on another device.

But if this helps I don't go further with it anymore. I finish using S. community.

Regards,

Rob

The app wasn't allowed to acces it, but when I did allow it, it still didn't give me the option to save music on the SD.
