Ive found a few recent posts of people having this issue but they are a bit technobabbly for me to follow.

Issue: massive battery drain even when plugged in to charge.

Even when plugged in with a fast charger, spotify seems to be draining my battery.
When spotify isnt running it seems mt fast charger is only charging at a normal charge pace.
Im a new spotify user and while the app is loads better then my previous streamer (pandora) the battery drain is unacceptable and if there isnt a solution ill have to unistall and go back to the worse product.

I'm experiencing the batterydrain as well. Where Spotify is draining my battery to the extent that I can't use it for any extended amount of time, before I have to recharge my phone.

But, about that charge issue. I had the same issue before, that does not have anything to do with spotify. I'm pretty sure that is the USB cable. I had the same issue, where it took far to long to charge, even on fast charge. But buying a new fast charger with cable sorted that problem out for me.
