Scrolling music playlists not working properly

My Question or Issue

Sometime over the last few weeks, the scrolling in song playlists has been very sluggish and buggy.  If I try to "flick" to scroll through songs, it immediately stops when my finger is lifted instead of continuing to scroll.  This only happens in song playlists.  Playlists of podcasts or even scrolling through the list of playlists works properly, as does scrolling in any other app on my phone.  For some reason, it's only playlists of songs that have this laggy scrolling bug.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling spotify, clearing the cache, opening a new account with only ~50 songs in a playlist, and closing every process except for Spotify.  Nothing has worked so far.

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for the troubleshooting you've tried.

We've checked on our end but couldn't reproduce the issue, so as a next step, we'd recommend checking if you get the same behavior in the web player and on another device using the same account.

Ended up just downloading and installing a previous update from last fall and it works like normal.  One of the recent updates must have broken it so I'll just stick with the old version from now on.
