Sending to sonos device, which does the streaming

If I use the option to play through my sonos speakers from the Spotify app, does it still stream from my phone to sonos, or does Sonos take over and do the streaming?

I'm asking because I'd like to know if I set my streaming quality on my phone to lie will my sonos end up being low too.

When you use Connect to play spotify music on any hardware device, the music is streamed direct from Spotify's servers at high quality. Changing the quality on your mobile akes no difference.
