Shared links don't work!

So, I've recently updated my spotify to the latest version on Android, and since then, whenever I try to open any shared link that I've sent, or others have sent me it wouldn't work. it would either:

• Pop-up "The song is not available".
• Opens spotify but does nothing.
• Opens the song album and does nothing.

the same goes for any command issued by Google Assistant.

So I've tried at least 15 downgraded versions until I found the one that works, I've tried it on 2 different phones and it worked flawlessly on both, any other version used to give us the same errors mentioned above. but now, it keeps giving us a  "you're using an older version pop-up"

This is frustrating, the issue is purely software related, now I am stuck with an older version which would lack the improvements in the newer ones.
