Shuffle play in album shuffles through entire artist instead

Hey guys, I'm a free user and I don't mind the shuffle play option for listening to music.  But for what ever reason it doesn't want to shuffle play for a single album.  When I go to a single album and select Shuffle Play, it might start with a song in that album, but the next song will be a random song from another album but the same artist.  Does anyone know why this is? 

This has happened several times to different albums and artists I've tried and it's annoying when I want to listen through one album.

This is correct. For free users when using the shuffle play button on any album or playlist with less than 12 tracks then Spotify will insert other songs 'relevant' into the play queue.

I definitely understand that any playlist or album under 12 songs will fill in other relevant songs, but one album this was happening to had 15 songs and the other had exactly 12 songs.  So I didn't expect to happen to these albums...

Edit: Yup here's my answer.  So even if you want to play an album that's over 12 songs, you'll still get other songs that are related.  I suppose that's not a terrible thing; can't argue with a free service though!

I wanted to play a specific artist  album. Why am I hearing different tracks?

When you press play you’ll hear a  mix of that album or artist plus similar tracks. You'll also receive some suggested tracks when listening to albums with less than 12 tracks.
