Shuffle play removed again... Why?

Why has the shuffle play button been removed completely again? I was so happy that it was back, but I guess it's back to the times of having to leave a Playlist to reshuffle it. 

Honestly don't understand why they don't just leave stuff as an option, like everyone would be happy if you just had an option to turn the shuffle play button on or off. 

Like this I feel like I'll have to complain every few months about this issue, while spotify themselves don't even realise what they did as they still list the button on their features. Like how does one even respond to stuff like that? Yeah we changed it but if you look it up in our customer support its still listed as a feature, making me feel real stupid each time. So please just make it an option next update, instead of just adding it again so that you can remove it later.

The Spotify team recently began rolling out the update you described, and you can read more details in this article. While this implementation may not be exactly what you had in mind in the quote above, it seems the basic intent is similar, which is to give users a choice whether their playlists default to shuffle or playing in order.

If you tap the shuffle button at the top of the playlist, and then tap the play button, you should get the same experience as you previously got with the single shuffle play button.

I actually just received this update on my Android device yesterday and noticed that the shuffle setting seems to be remembered for each individual playlist, so if there are playlists that you prefer to always listen to on shuffle, that setting should remain once you've set it up the first time, and then whenever you click the play button it will reshuffle your playlist.

All that said, your feedback is appreciated, and idea submissions are welcome here if you have a suggestion on what could be a more user friendly way to offer users this choice in functionality.
