Slow song change and car text update

Hi,

First my setup I use my phone Xiaomi Mi4 with Android 4.4.4 and MIUI v6 to listen music in my car. My car stereo is Alpine CDE 173BT.

My phone is set to pair automatic with the car stereo.

I usually start my car, select playlist on the phone, music starts then i power off the screen on the phone.

I have the following problem.

When I leave the android app on this screen(current song)

 

the car bluetooth text is not updated when changing songs or it is too slow. Also when I press the button for next/prev song on the car the phone switches the song with 30-40 seconds delay, sometimes more. If I turn on the phone after switching song the above screen stays empty for some time then updates to current song.
If I leave the app on some other screen or in background there is NO problem.

P.S. I tried this multiple times to test it and it happens everytime.

Hello Philip!

Please check that you have enough free space and ram. Also you can try to reinstall spotify. If this will not help You can clean cache.

Hi,

Mi4 has 3GB of RAM and i have 2.5GB space left in storage.

So I doubt this is the problem. I tried rebooting the phone and running only Spotify after that. The phone reports 1.8 GB free RAM at that point.

I may try the reinstall/clear cache option.

Hi,

I just uninstalled, cleared cache and stuff and reinstalled. Now it works almost ok. If i press next song it works ok.
If i go prev song the problem persist, but it is little faster, the current playing song is slow to update on phone and car stereo screen. If now I do next song it changes immediate, bur current song screen on phone and car still is slow to update.

Do you know if there is new firmware update for your alpine radio?
Are you playing tracks from phone SD in offline mode or from the network?
