My Question or Issue

Some of the podcasts I listen to won't play (timer stays at 00.00 even when I try skip further into podcast) or download (download % stays at 0),

This problem is affecting around about half of the podcasts I listen to the other half play and can be downloaded as normal.

I have tried uninstalling, a clean uninstall, logging out then back in and trying storage location in both sd card and internal, nothing has worked

Hi there @Hada2,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
  • When did this start happening?
  • Is it random which podcasts will be affected and which not or is there a pattern? Are perhaps only podcasts with video affected?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.

It is only on my tablet I can play them on the ps4 app.

Started happening about 1 week ago.

It's always the same podcasts that can't play/download I've not noticed a pattern to it, don't listen to many podcast with video but the one I tried did play.

Hi @Hada2,

Thanks for the videos and the info. Does this happen regardless of the network your tablet is connected to? Try different ones and see if that makes a difference. Also, if possible, try using the account of someone else, a friend or relative, to log in on your device and test if the issue persists.

Let us know how it goes.

I tried a different network and I also set up a new account with different email address none of these worked and the issue persists

Hey @Hada2,

Thanks for getting back to us and for the troubleshooting you've tried so far.

By saying that the podcast don't work with a completely different account/network, you got us thinking that old cached files might be interfering with the app's performance on your tablet. Not to worry, performing a clean reinstall of the app with the steps here should help solve this. It'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

I have already tried following the steps provided for a clean reinstall which didn't solve the problem

Hi @Hada2

Thanks for your reply.

Would you mind checking if the OS of you tablet has any pending updates?

On another note, could you also check if the same podcast can be played on your tablet in the web player

We'll be on the lookout.

No OS updates are pending and I cannot play these podcasts on the web player, when I push play on web player it just skips to another podcast.

Hey @Hada2,

Would it be possible to send us a few more links to podcasts that won't play on your tablet so we can check on our end?

Keep us posted.
