Songs no longer show as downloaded after re-mounting SD card - files still on sd card

Songs no longer show as downloaded after re-mounting SD card - files still on sd card

Hello all,

I've got a problem with my downloaded/offline files on spotify.

I have a spotify premium account and for the vacation I set about 3000 songs to offline via spotify. Those files are downloaded to the SD card of my android phone.

However, after removing the SD card I accidently started it up spotify. Offcourse, spotify could not find the music files. I re-inserted the SD card but now spotify still does not find the music files.

I checked the SD card and can see the files are still on there. Question is why does Spotify no longer shows these files a downloaded while they are actually still on the card?

What I have done so far:

- rebooted the device (offcourse)

- on the spotify app, repointed the app to the SD card (so that music files are downloaded to the SD card again).

- downloaded 1 album in the hopes that it then maybe also would find the other files that were already downloaded, this was unfortunatly not the case.

- on the spotify account online I see that there are multiple 'offline devices'. It seems spotify created a 'new' device. So what I did I deleted the 'new' device, switched off the phone, put the old profile back on the SD card and started the phone

None of the above resolved the issue.

The thing is that we are now on vacation without a very fast working wifi connection.... ;( So if somehow I could repoint spotify to those files that would be great...

Thanks for your help,

Thom
