Songs not on playlist being played

My Question or Issue

When playing music off a playlist, the android app sometimes starts playing music that is not on the playlist, but falls under "recommended" based on the playlist itself. This usually occurs after one of the commercial breaks (doesn't matter if it's one of the 30-second video ads or the audio-only ads).

Is this a bug or an intended feature? If the latter, how do I make this stop?

Thanks for reaching out. Does this happen after the last song in the playlist? If that's the case, this is normal behavior. 

After the songs on the playlist, you're listening Spotify will play the suggested tracks for that playlist or because of the AutoPlay feature, it will curate the related songs and play those related songs.
